The art of decay.
Salt Lake City, June 2013.
Love it! Isn’t it amazing how such a thing as rust is beautiful??
Thank you Jacqueline.
This is so cool – gosh I love all the colors and crevices.
Thanks very much Mary.
Great composition in this photo.
I enjoy seeing someone pick a subject that never occurred to me especially when they do it well.
Much appreciated; thank you John.
Wow! Now isn’t that both interesting and beautiful. You always manage to capture detail with such finesse.
Thanks for your kind words.
What a rusty old piece of metal you found. I have always liked looking at rust deposits. As long as they were not on something I wanted to preserve :-). I find it interesting to look at the patterns, and also to flake off pieces of rust.
Thank you Steven.
Remember that old puzzle game where you have to guess what it is from a super close up? This rust looks like a close up of fried chicken. :)
The formations are alluring. My 16-year-old grandson has been taking photographs of rust for years. He is quite good at it. Rust’s abstract quality is often missed. Nicely done.
Thanks very much Sally.
You can make anything look interesting and beautiful, Great shot!

Even our own decay becomes art in the hands of a good photographer :)
Never would haves guessed. Great macro
