While I was in Pasadena in May I loved seeing the flowering Blue Jacaranda all over the city. On a visit to the hills of Rancho Palos Verdes one day I was disappointed at first that the Jacaranda were not yet in bloom. Later in the evening, though, I thought the silhouette of this tree with its feathery leaves was quite beautiful.
I like that the background carries the colour.

This is an amazingly strong delicate painting. Not sure anything can be both of those adjectives together. I just love it.

I don’t know that it would have been quite as beautiful without the hint of color in the sky. Great capture.

The photo is great, the story as well, it looks like the jacaranda did not want to let you down and offered you this amazing view. Again I really believe it is a matter of dialogue between us and nature.

Thank you. Yes, the Jacaranda is strikingly beautiful. And though it’s called “Blue” the blooms are actually purple.

Beautiful! Jacarandas are my favorite tree! I had never seen them until I went to Australia 2 years ago and I thought I was brought back to Dr Seuse’s book about the Lorax protecting the incredible Truffula trees!
