🙂 thanks for the info, I’ve always loved to get a cactus for myself… I think I really have to now. Will be looking out for this kind if I find one, they look pretty.
Love them! Mine blooms a few times a year, but I don’t know why. Maybe it’s the location – it sits in a bay window that faces north and only gets sun in the late afternoon. Nice photo!
Rona, I always enjoy your posts and your photography. This one is especially cool because not long ago I wrote a post on my blog LifeInLorain about our Christmas Cactus. Here is the link if you’d like to take a look. Keep up the great postings. —Mark— http://wp.me/p2h4iA-gy
I have a Christmas cactus that is beginning to show signs it might bloom this year. Tiny buds! So exciting.

I know — I almost prefer the look of the buds before they blossom.

Funny how this cactus, unlike any other cacti, evokes emotional connections. Thanks for stopping by.

We have two and they just bloomed. Didn’t think to capture them. Next year I will or I’ll just look at your nice shot.

Thank you Prem. Though referred to as Christmas cactus, they’re actually Schlumbergera.
