I have one next door to me. I not only love the way that it looks when it is in full bloom, but also the individual flowers. Of course, it gets a bit messy underneath :-).
Two days after to I took this, the blooms were gone. I never got to see them under the tree, but am now enjoying the beauty of the fallen cherry blossoms on the concrete sidewalks.
You picked the right word: delicate. I love spring flowers and blossom. They seem so much more natural than the brilliant summer flowers cultivated for their bright often gaudy colours and extravagant forms.
