Tulip Prinses Irene
Photographed in Salt Lake City, Utah
New tree against remnants of graffiti by Revs, Cost and others on a brick facade at 23rd Street and the High Line in Manhattan.
Another out of season tulip, but this one has recently become one of
my most popular images. Photographed in Salt Lake City, Utah.
While I was in Pasadena in May I loved seeing the flowering Blue Jacaranda all over the city. On a visit to the hills of Rancho Palos Verdes one day I was disappointed at first that the Jacaranda were not yet in bloom. Later in the evening, though, I thought the silhouette of this tree with its feathery leaves was quite beautiful.

Here’s an experiment in refraction. I’m not completely happy with the image, but this is an aspect of photography I would like to continue to explore.
