The Road Ahead

Abstract photograph taken in the atrium of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. The Kimmel Center, designed by Rafael, Vinoly, is home to The Philadelphia Orchestra which is exiting bankruptcy today. As a fan and former employee, I wish them all the best as they move forward.

I love the photograph – have never been to the Kimmel Center, but now that I’ve seen how extraordinary it is, I am putting it on my list. And I’m glad to hear of the positive turn of events for the Orchestra. Thanks for letting us know!

    Wow, I didn’t realize it is right downtown, Locust and Broad Sts! I will have to plan an overnight trip to Philly for the fall, to include a concert at the Kimmel Center. I’m so glad that I came across your photo!

I’ve been here once. It’s beautiful architectural design inside… glass domed roof and wood panelling… It was a great day in Philadelphia.

Abstracts pulled from reality are my favorites in photography. I decided to do a gallery of natural abstracts because of my surroundings, but sometimes I miss the architectural abundance of the city. Thanks for sharing this one.
