  1. I have one that flowers this same color, and I’m always intrigued by the delicate and intricate centers. Your photo captures the beauty and interest so well. Wonderful! The other thing I love about these blossoms is the shimmer to their petals, like metallic velvet, but I’ve never been able to capture that in a photo. Any ideas?

    1. Thank you, Sheri. I think a good macro lens and natural light are essential for photographing cactus flowers. Your mention of their shimmer has me thinking about the many shots I’ve taken; I’m going to go back through them and see if I can find any with it.
