Here’s a different perspective on the Huntington Botanical Gardens. This Agapanthus flower is shot against a backdrop of the Rose Garden which gives it that colorful bokeh.
Normally, even among my own photos, I find water droplets on flowers run the risk of being trite. However, your image here, the soft light, the subtle gradation of colors– it all works to great effect! Awesome! ~ Jason
I may have been tempted to crop it just a tiny tiny tiny bit more on the left too. But on the other hand, water droplets are NOT trite. Stunning image.
Oh I just adore the peaceful and coy mood of this wonderful photograph. When I read about the backdrop of roses, they melted through the blear to me, and such fragrance abounded in my imagination. A vivid image!
Beautiful!!

Thank you so much, Jason. I remember it being such a dreary morning when I took this, but the raindrops made everything sparkle (at least up close.)

I really like this phase of an agapanthus’ growth. The slow unfolding of the flower.
